My Autumn Beauty Picks

When it comes to Autumn, I feel a little like the definition of "basic white girl"; I love pumpkin spice lattes, and berry lips, and log fires.  I love the warm colours of Autumn, wrapping up in big, cosy scarves and accessorizing with small gold details.  Now that we are well into the season, I thought it would be appropriate to share my top beauty picks so you can see my go-to products for the months ahead!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance

The palette that needs no introduction; Modern Renaissance by Anastasia Beverly Hills.  Unless you've been living under a rock, I dare say you've heard about the insane blendability and pigmentation of this palette.  The colours are so gorgeous and you can create so many looks, a quick search on YouTube will find you a world of inspiration.  I love the golds, oranges and reds for Autumn, and if you have brown eyes like myself, I would 10/10 recommend you put this on your wishlist.  It is a little pricey, but it is more than worth it!

Chanel 58 Rouge Vie lipstick

Who doesn't love Chanel? From the timelessly chic packaging to the undeniable quality, it is one of my most favourite luxury brands. Their Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks are a dream with their rich long-wearing colour and matte finish.  The shade featured here is 58 Rouge Vie, a deep red shade, perfect for not only Autumn but the festive season too (74 days til Christmas!).  It is lovely for this time of year as despite being a matte lipstick, it is not drying and has a nice satin finish.

Autumn Nail Polish shades

Nail polish is one of my favourite accessories, it can add so much to an outfit, can be subtle or dramatic and I find a good coffin nail and one of these beautiful colours is such a staple in my Autumn wardrobe at the moment. From left to right we have OPI's OPI With a Nice Finn-ish, an orange-bronze metallic with a lovely satin finish, and Going My Way or Norway?, a caramel brown with a creme finish, Barry M's Silk Poppy, a deep burgundy with a slight duo-chrome, and Essie's Knee-High Life, part of their Autumn 2017 collection and a gorgeous deep red wine colour, and In Stitches, a sort of red-toned brown that somehow looks orange in nearly every photo! As I type, I have Knee-High Life on all my nails and then Silk Poppy as a top coat on my thumbs and ring finger; they look so nice together.

L'Oreal Paris Paradise Extactic mascara

The L'Oreal Paris Paradise Extactic mascara is a newer item in my beauty collection.  I've not had it long, but I love it.  I've sworn by Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara for about two years and I'm so glad I've found a suitable drugstore alternative, even if it is only £7 or so cheaper (every little helps!).  The wand is very similar to the Better Than Sex, it has that same hourglass shape but is just slightly less curved.  The bristles are nice and soft, and I find you get an excellent grip on all the lashes, separating them to create that gorgeous, feathery, wide-eyed look that so many of us aim for. Whilst it is buildable, I find that I rarely need more than one or two coats to have my lashes looking long and full.

Too Faced Born This Way foundation and Charlotte Tilbury liquid lipstick

If you have visited my blog before, you may have seen my reviews of the Too Faced Born This Way foundation and the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips liquid lipstick.  They are both staples in my Autumn make-up bag.  The finish of this foundation is perfect for this time of year, giving you that glowy skin and flawless complexion all day long. The lipstick is a perfect shade for Autumn, it is a warm, deep berry colour and is so comfortable on the lips. Please click here and here to read my more in-depth posts about the two!

Colourpop Love Line Foursome, Super Shock Shadow

Should you follow me on Instagram and the algorithm being in my favour over the last couple of days, you may have seen my swatches of these eyeshadows.  They are from Colourpop and are part of their Super Shock Shadow range.  I cannot describe how gorgeous these are; when I first swatched them, I was in awe.  The formula is an absolute dream, they are a creme powder with such intense colour and no fall out. The pigmentation is literally insane, and they are so easy to blend, so long lasting and are just so so stunning on the eyes. The colours I have are from the Love Line Foursome...

Truth; a beautiful neutral satin, perfect as a lid colour when you want something simple but effective
Brady; a dusky rose matte, think Millennial Pink's more sophisticated sister, Autumnal Pink
Sequin; a warm copper glitter, gorgeous for brown eyes and my favourite of the four!
Static; a burgundy satin, which is so easy to build in the crease and could not be more perfect for Autumn

I hope you enjoyed this post and do let me know what beauty products you are currently loving!
