Glamglow, Lush, Glossier, The Body Shop, Charlotte Tilbury, Bourjois, Urban Decay, Nivea

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought Spring would have arrived by now.  Winter seems to be lasting forever and this week temperatures dropped to -10, which for the South of England is pretty damn chilly.  Whilst most of the UK fell apart at the sight of a snowflake, I made sure my skin stayed intact and glowing with my current favourite skincare and base products...

1. GLAMGLOW Flashmud Brightening Treatment

I seem to be busy all the time lately, but one thing I do make sure to set aside time for at least once, if not twice, a week is a face mask.  I love using this one from Glamglow.  Yes, it is a little expensive, but it leaves my complexion looking gorgeous and my skin feeling so soft and brand new.  It is perfect for the colder months when your skin is looking tired and dull and needs a little brightening.

2. Glossier Birthday Balm Dotcom

Whilst I love having fuller lips (thanks Vayro family for the good genes), I always suffer from chapped lips as soon as the cold wind hits so it's only natural that I would have a drawer full of lip balms.  This one from Glossier has been my go to since November.  It doesn't feel sticky and it smells amazing (I have the birthday flavour).  I don't find myself needing to reapply the balm several times throughout the day which is a godsend. Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that Glossier now has a UK site.

3. Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Prior to applying my Glossier lip balm, I love to use a lip scrub to exfoliate my lips.  Lush have an amazing range of lip scrubs that all smell amazing and all work wonders for when your lips need a little extra TLC. If you're not a sweet fan, these may not be for you, but I would definitely recommend using a lip scrub to exfoliate your lips prior to applying lipstick during Winter, it will make the product look so much better and last so much longer.

4. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser

Any product that is designed for "grumpy" skin is going to be your best friend in the Winter - I couldn't live without The Body Shop's Vitamin C moisturiser; the gel formula feels so fresh and lightweight on the skin but leaves your face looking radiant and healthy all day long, not to mention it smells so nice, almost invigorating.  I'm keen to try more of their Vitamin C range, the liquid peel has my name on it.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer

As mentioned in my CT Beauty Icons review post, I love love love Wonderglow.  I've somehow managed to make the sample size from my PR package last by not wearing it every day (I was on a spending ban for a couple of months) and only using it for special occasions when I really want that luminous glow-from-within look. Every time I wear this, without fail my Mum says "Oooh, nice natural glowy makeup look today, Naomi" and you know what they say; Mum knows best...

6. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

When I've overslept and I'm rushing in the morning to get ready for work, you can guarantee I will be reaching for this foundation.  Not only is it a dream to blend and provides the perfect amount of coverage to cover any imperfections whilst still looking natural, it also gives the skin a boost of radiance that lasts all day.  I sometimes commit the ultimate sin of not applying powder when I wear this as I love the healthy glowy finish so much.

7. Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

One thing I think is key during Winter is not using products that are too heavy on the skin, especially under your eyes.  This concealer is a dream for covering dark circles and blemishes but still being lightweight.  It helps retain a youthful and energised appearance throughout the day, even if you feel like you're about to fall asleep at your desk...

8. Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

This is my favourite product for removing my makeup at the end of the day.  It is so gentle on the skin and doesn't cause any irritation even if you've gone full glam and have mascara and liner to remove.  I love the feeling of ending the day with super soft and supple skin, and having a good nighttime skincare routine makes all the difference for when you wake up in the morning.  I love the Vitamin E range, of which you can read more about here, but if you are going to try anything from the range, I'd 10/10 recommend the cream cleanser.

9. Nivea Regenerating Night Cream

I once read an article where a lady in her 70s with gorgeous skin talked about how she massaged her face each evening, in circular motions with her favourite night cream.  Admittedly, I just fall in to bed some days without even thinking about moisturising my face, but when I do, I use this one from Nivea.  It is quite thick but doesn't feel too heavy on the skin, and every time I use this I wake up with brighter, healthier looking skin.
