Beauty Lover Christmas Gift Guide
When I started thinking about festive content, I knew I wanted to put together a beauty themed gift guide this year.  Not just because I love makeup and skincare, but also because I can't remember a time in the last 10 years that I didn't have a beauty item on my Christmas wishlist.  I've called this a Christmas gift guide, but it's more half a review and half a things-I-got-given-for-my-birthday-that-I-am-really-excited-about; gift guide just sounds a little better! I did think about just sharing my wishlist with you, but instead I want to recommend you some items that I know are good, not just ones that look great...

"Give a woman the right lipstick and she can conquer the world" - I'm one of those people who finds a new favourite nude lip combo and then won't be seen wearing anything else for a good few weeks.  My current top three are these; the Jouer Longwear Lip Liner in Nude which is the creamiest, most pigmented lip liner I've used in a long time, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Sedona which is described as a pale terracotta, but actually closely matches my natural lip colour and is gorgeous, and the Dose of Colors Lip Gloss in Can You Not, the perfect nude gloss (that isn't sticky!)  I think a really nice gift for any age is a lip kit.  If you are not sure if the recipient would wear a red lip or berry tones, popular colours for the festive season, why not try a nude combo? It is easy to wear, looks good with every outfit and there is so much choice out there.  You can mix and match different brands as I have above, choosing a liner and a lipstick or a lipstick and a gloss or all three! Or you can buy a pre-made lip kit like Charlotte Tilbury's Luscious Lip Slick in Pillow Talk.  Those with a smaller budget, I would recommend NYX; their lip products are so good and their lip liners are the best drugstore ones I have tried! They are such great quality, amazing value for money and would make the perfect Christmas gift!

One of my favourite things about face palettes is that when you travel, you only need to take one product for powder, bronzer, blush and highlight! If you know a beauty-obsessed travel lover, why not gift them the Charlotte Tilbury Glowing, Pretty Skin Palette* this Christmas. I've been trying this out the last few weeks, and I love the versatility of the palette.  The blush and highlight pans are all so pigmented and are perfect for adding that glow to the skin, something I am needing as this cold weather sets in.   The quality of each pan is excellent and you also get a mirror in the lid which is ideal for applying your make-up on-the-go!  Not only is the product great, but the Charlotte Tilbury packaging is beautiful too and provides that added luxury that every beauty lover likes to see under the tree on Christmas morning!

I won't lie, I may have been drawn to this set because of the peach toned wooden handles and the rose gold detail.  I'm in the process of redecorating, and whilst these were on my Pinterest wishlist, I kept thinking about how gorgeous they would look on my dresser.  This eye brush set is the Zoeva Rose Golden Complete Eye Brush Set Vol.2, and my very first Zoeva purchase.  I'd heard great things about the brand and seen many Youtubers use their brushes in their tutorials so I felt confident spending my money on the set.  The brushes come in a little rose gold metallic zipped pouch, perfect for travel, and also perfect for gifting! I am yet to use all 12 brushes in the set, but the ones I have tried so far, I love! They feel like really good quality, and make applying eyeshadow so much easier...

Now if you are buying a gorgeous eye brush set, and really want to treat your loved one, why not get a gorgeous eyeshadow palette too? I first saw Lydia Millen use the Sigma Warm Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette Vol.2 on one of her weekly vlogs and fell in love instantly (the power of influencers, eh?).  My brother gave me this for my birthday at the start of November and I've only just used it this last weekend, hence why the palette looks untouched in the photos above. The shades are beautiful, a mixture of mattes and shimmers, and perfect for the festive season! Some of them are more neutral, but you also have the reds and the greens, making the palette so versatile for creating a more natural look or something a little more dramatic, depending on your mood!
I've only created 3 looks with this palette so far, but the colours are so pigmented with amazing payoff, the shadows blend so well with very minimal fall out, and there is no kickback when you dip your brush, so the palette stays looking sleek and clean.  I'm very excited to use this for all of my festive looks!

My current favourite nail polish is Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Nutmeg It is quite a neutral shade, so easy to wear with most outfits.  The quality is amazing; very little chipping and the shine is lovely! This range is cruelty free and they have a great range of colours.  I've given nail polish as a Christmas gift so many times in the past, and it is always such a sweet little gift for any age! I love to receive nail polish (you can never have too many) and for my birthday, I was given this gorgeous deep red Nailberry Nail Polish in Les Temps des CerisesIt is a stunning colour for the season, sophisticated and classy.  This brand is also cruelty free and they have some gorgeous shades available.

If you've read any of my previous beauty posts, you probably know I am a big fan of The Body Shop.  Throughout the year they sell gift boxes full of treats, and Christmas is no different!  One of my favourite ranges at The Body Shop is their Almond Milk & Honey range, and I wouldn't hesitate to give any of the products from this range as a Christmas gift.  I recently picked up The Body Shop Festive Picks in Almond Milk & Honey as I have used all of the products before, love them, and they worked out a lot cheaper than buying individually (another reason why their gift sets are perfect for the beauty lover in your life; more for your money!).  The products come in a sweet festive gift box, tied with a satin ribbon.  I love this range as it is great for sensitive skin and the scent is not too overpowering as I have found some of the fruity ranges to be.
The Body Shop have the most gorgeous range of gifts for Christmas, so definitely take a look here! (The Festive Sacks? Yes please!)

Beauty Lover Christmas Gift Guide

This was my duty-free treat (along with a load of Kinder Bueno) en route to Germany a couple of months ago (blog post soon, I promise!).  Since then, it's been my everyday fragrance.  Bold and feminine, I feel like Wonder Woman when I wear the Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum, ready to take on the world.  Fragrance is sometimes seen as a "cop out" gift, it is the thing that people rush in to purchase last minute when they are struggling to think of the perfect Christmas surprise.  But it doesn't have to be a cop out gift; there is so much choice available, and with just a little research, you can find the perfect gift! Match the fragrance to the recipients personality; whether they are the life and soul of the work Christmas party, the confident sassy one of your friendship group, or the quiet cousin who loves floral scents and subtle undertones, there is something for everyone behind the fragrance counter, young or old.

What's on your wishlist this year? See some of mine below!

I hope this gift guide gives you some inspiration for your Christmas shopping! Thanks for reading! I can also be found on InstagramPinterestTwitter and Bloglovin! xN
