I love to travel but I also love my skincare and whenever I go away, I make sure to pack my travel essentials, whether that is in my hand or hold luggage.  If you want to know how to keep your skin looking fresh and glowy on your next trip, keep reading!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Face Wipes

I know face wipes can be a big no-no, but these are a dream for removing your makeup and refreshing your skin, either pre-flight or when you want to wipe the plane grime away. Enriched with tea tree oil, the wipes are anti-septic and anti-inflammatory so perfect for any of those pesky post-flight break outs! These were originally recommended for my oily t-zone and they have worked wonders for me since I started using them.  They control oiliness without leaving your skin feeling tight or sore.

Made with all natural ingredients, this lip balm helps to rejuvenate your lips and is perfect for on-the-go.  I do love a Glossier balm dot com too, but sometimes it's easier when travelling to have a lip balm that you apply straight on to your lips, without having to use your fingers! The lip balm contains pomegranate oil which has excellent moisturising and nourishing qualities and gives the balm it's gorgeous scent. Beeswax helps to protect your skin and is a source of Vitamin A, proven to rejuvenate damaged skin cells and leave your lips feeling soft and supple.

Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil 29ml

This has been a game changer for me this Winter.  I wear it underneath my moisturiser and I have noticed a world of difference to how hydrated, youthful and radiant my skin looks.  The oil is very lightweight and quick drying, it comes with a dropper so you can be precise with how much you are using.  Vitamin C brightens your skin, whilst the essential fatty acids help to regenerate your skin and reduce the appearance of scarring. Packed with antioxidants that absorb in to the layers, the oil helps to keep your skin supple all day long.  Before your flight, apply a couple of drops to clean skin before applying a moisturiser; it will help fight the effects of the air-con, making you look less tired when you reach your destination.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream* - 15ml

Charlotte's Magic Cream is packed full of some of my favourite skincare ingredients.  Along with rose hip oil, the cream contains hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, Vitamin E, and Shea butter.  Hyaluronic acid's restorative abilities plump and moisturise your skin, keeping it youthful and dewy, whilst the aloe vera helps to calm the skin and reduce redness.  Vitamin E fights the effects of pollution on your skin, and is an ingredient I look for in all moisturisers I use, especially when travelling.  Our skin can so easily look dull and tired when travelling so the combination of Vitamins C and E will help us look fresh and ready-to-go when we touchdown in a new city.  The added shea butter is essential for if you want soft supple skin (one of my friends swears by shea butter and he has the most amazing skin!).  Magic Cream works perfectly under makeup, and you won't have to worry about dry patches or any tightness - your skin will feel healthy and hydrated all day long, perfect for those days when you need to disguise the jetlag!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue* - 15ml

An eye cream is an essential part of my skincare routine, both at home and when travelling.  Charlotte's Magic Eye Rescue is refreshing and cooling on your eyes, brightening your dark circles and reducing puffiness.  It has an amazing little mix of ingredients including; retinol for boosting the rejuvenation of skin cells and helping with collagen production for younger looking skin, calcium and magnesium to help strengthen the delicate skin around your eyes, and shea butter and coconut oil to condition and moisturise your skin. You only need a tiny amount of this, and make sure it has all absorbed before applying any makeup!

Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser - 30ml (as part of "The Littles")

Unless you've been chilling under a rock, I dare say you would have heard the hype around Drunk Elephant skincare. I believe it has only recently (last year or so) launched in the UK, and after getting my hands on their "The Littles" set, I can see why they are worth the hype.  One of my favourite products is the jelly cleanser. I find the change in water and air can affect my skin when travelling, so I use the jelly cleanser as it is gentle on my skin and doesn't cause any irritation.  It contains glycerin which acts as an emollient to soften and smooth your skin, combating oiliness and helping with any pesky spots or blackheads.  The virgin marula oil nourishes your skin and fights against the effects of environmental damage which makes it an ideal ingredient for travel.  Rich in antioxidants, the cantaloupe extract soothes and hydrates. (Top tip! Eating cantaloupe does wonders for skin and hair).

Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic - 100ml

We all want glowy, fresh skin (gotta look good for the 'gram!) and this exfoliating toner removes dead skin cells and refines the appearance of pores to leave your skin healthy and radiant.  Ginseng and aloe vera help energise and soothe your skin as the glycolic acid can cause mild irritation for some skin types - if you have very sensitive skin, this may not be the perfect toner for you, but Pixi also have a rose tonic and a milky tonic, which I do not believe contain glycolic acid.  I've not tried either however, so cannot give you a recommendation just yet! Use the Glow Tonic as part of your morning skincare routine to get that glow on your travels!

Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 - 90ml

If you are off to somewhere in the sun, make sure to pack an SPF! I love Drunk Elephant's SPF 30 sunscreen and would use this on holiday in replace of my moisturiser as it provides both UVA and UVB protection.  Sunscreen is an essential skincare item for any trips in the sunshine, and this one contains raspberry seed oil and virgin marula oil to help fight the effects of pollution.  Apply this at least 15 minutes before sun exposure by warming up with your fingers and gently patting on to your skin.  I love this as you aren't left looking greasy (pet peeve!)

Sonya by Forever Living Illuminating Gel* - 30ml

This little tube of gel is made by Forever Living, who you may know through their Aloe Vera drinks! The high concentration of aloe in this gel keeps your skin so soft.  It acts as a blurring primer, evening and brightening your complexion, and the light texture is perfect under foundation. Use this to give your skin a natural glow and nobody will know you've just stepped off the plane!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream* - 15ml

At the end of a day of exploring, the kindest gift you can give to your skin is a rich, intense night cream.  It's never too early to invest in anti-aging skincare products, and this one is more than worth the higher price tag.  The Vitamin E (my favourite!) heals your skin as you sleep, helping your face to recover from the effects of travel; you'll wake up with your skin feeling rejuvenated, supple and smooth! The Magic Night Cream contains olus oil and caster oil (this is what gives the moisturiser it's velvety balm texture), both emollients that help your skin retain moisture. This is also ideal for any long haul nighttime flights, I love a little skincare routine on the plane! (Top tip! Use a small amount all over your face, too much and you will find it feels too sticky!)
