My Simple Every Day Makeup Essentials for Summer

As a beauty blogger, one of the best feelings lately has been nailing my every day makeup routine, and of course, I'm now going to share it with you
The products I am going to talk about below have become my go to in the warmer weather. I wanted a quick and easy routine that would leave me with glowing skin, eliminate my up until 2am eye bags, and feel ultra-lightweight on the skin!
I also wanted to find a routine and set of products that would be easy to travel with. Whilst I have no current plans to hop on a plane, I often travel hand luggage only and knowing I can get the results I want with a handful of products will be fab for future travels!
1. So with this first product, I don't technically use it every day, but I reap the benefits of it every day! It is the Bali Body Face Tan Water* which, if you are a frequent visitor here will know already, is my favourite tanning product to ever exist. I apply this about every 3 days, usually once I've cleansed my face in the evening, and I'm left with a gorgeously tanned complexion, the perfect base for my makeup.
2. I am not a fan of wearing foundation in the warmer weather, but I always want a little something to provide a little coverage and give my skin a "filter" effect. The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter* is perfect for this! It's lightweight, makes pores appear smaller and looks so dreamy on the skin!
3. My sleeping pattern has been so messed up during lockdown, and it is really showing! On an exceptionally bad tired eyes day, I raided my makeup stash for a concealer and as soon as I saw the Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer* I knew this was my answer! It does exactly what it says on the tin, and erases all signs of fatigue and evidence of poor sleep routines

4. The only powder product that I use in my routine is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I don't go too heavy handed with this and just apply a small amount to define my cheekbones and to lightly contour my forehead, chin and nose! I will sometimes use this as an eyeshadow too!
I also love the NARS Laguna Bronzer!
5. To finish off my glowing complexion and to add a little pink flush to my cheeks, I use the Bali Body Highlighter Stick in Rose Gold*. It's a great alternative to a powder blush or highlight, and for this simple makeup look, I only apply a tiny amount but it gives me a long lasting glow and looks so dreamy when the sun rays hit my face!
6. To define my lips and give them a little colour, I use the MAC Lip Pencil in Soar. It's just a few shades darker than my natural lip colour and I tend to line my lips and then sort of smudge it in to the centre for a natural look!
7. During lockdown, I've been growing out my brows (stopped plucking as apparently this can traumatise the area, started using a little razor to clean up strays!) and I also ditched my filling-in-brows routine! Whilst I dare say I will pick up a brow pencil again at some point, for now I am just loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel and it is all I need to fix my brows to a shape I am happy with!
8. To finish the look (and to make sure people can actually see my eyes!) I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara*. I love this mascara; it lifts the eye, adding volume and length to your lashes. It's not too heavy and is perfect for that flutter-y look!

The 3 brushes I use for my every day makeup routine are all from Zoeva Cosmetics, and I have linked to each one below! From left to right; the Silk Finish brush is my favourite for blending in the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, the Luxe Soft Crease brush I use for blending my under eye concealer (sounds a little unusual, but trust me, it works!), and the Luxe Sheer Cheek brush is my go to for lightly applying my bronzer!

I hope this post has given you some inspiration for your own every day routine, and please pop me a message or comment with any questions!
